Introducing the new ANSI Public Service Safety Vests. These vests meet the ANSI/ISEA 207-2006 regulation for a Public Service Safety Vest. The vests are constructed with a soft and flexible flame resistant material for all day comfort. The vests are built with a 5 point Velcro tear away design and also come with a microphone tabs on the top left and right of the vest. The stripes are built with 2 layers of striping for additional visibility. The wider high visibility stripe is 4.5 inches and the inside is a reflective 2 inch stripe. The vests are sized in standard sizes which will fit Med-2X sizes, and a larger size that fits 3X and 4X sizes.

The Public Service Vests are built for first responders such as Fire, EMS, Police, Tow-Truck, and other law enforcement personnel. These vests are not as tall as standard safety vests to allow easy access to tool belts, handguns, etc. Because of this the Public Service Vests do not come with an inside or outside pocket.

Note: The Public Service vests are categorized as an ANSI 207-2006 First Responder Safety vests and does NOT meet Class 2 Regulations. The McKinney Safety Vests below are both a Class 2 and a First Responder type of safety vest. Note 2: Does not come with inside or outside pocket

The McKinney Safety Vests are a nickname given to this type of First Responders Safety Vests. It was designed by a fire chief in McKinney Texas and the style has been adopted by many fire departments around the country. This version of safety vest meets ANSI 207-2006 First Responder Public Service Safety Vests; as well as, ANSI 107-2004 Class 2 regulations for a safety vest. This first responder safety vest is recommended when being used in high traffic areas.
